Ken inflates voting figures

The Mayor of London blog has an interesting article looking at how many people actually voted for Ken Livingstone after the mayor was quoted as saying "Three members of a body that no one has ever elected should not be allowed to overturn the votes of millions of Londoners."

In reality, Ken Livingstone received 828,380 of the 5,197,647 strong electorate. In comparison Steve Norris, the nearest challenger, managed a total of 667,178.
