Ken's London travel policy

My 17 year old nephew came to visit me over the weekend and, as we were paying for his £1.50 bus ticket (which actually ended up costing £2 as the machines do not give change - another way of making money?), we got to talking about Ken Livingstone and London travel. He asked me about prices for the tube and buses. I told my nephew the cost and he immediately replied, "He [Ken Livingstone] wants to get people out of their cars but charges that much to travel? How is that supposed to work?"

And that was from a 17 year old. It made me smile.
