Traffic congestion in West London drops by 2%
A number of London boroughs have witnessed a rise in traffic levels since the turn of the century, according to the Evening Standard. However, Kensington & Chelsea - the area included in Ken Livingstone's congestion charge extension - saw traffic fall by almost 2%.
These figures by the London Assembly Greens also indicate London traffic overall has risen by more than 4%, further indication the congestion charge is failing in key areas.
So, where the congestion charge is supposed to work traffic has increased. And where the congestion charge is set to be extended traffic has decreased. Can anyone explain why Mr Livingstone is still determined to push ahead with the congestion charge extension? Answers on a postcard.

Money!Being a good socialist he has always been good at taking and spending other peoples money.
What else did the untutored morons who voted for him expect! He was born an oaf and will die one, sooner rather than later one hopes. He's an embarrassment to London.

tax and spend, my friend.... buying your votes by robbing the easy targets.
it would be a VERY bad day for ken if everyone did actually stop driving cars into and around the congestion zone.
